Honestly with pixel art:
It’s the first creative hobby in my life that I feel that I’ve became immediately good at after only a few attempts.
I feel as though I was meant to do this style of art, and it makes me feel satisfaction pulling off good looking sprites in a way.
After I finish this semester, I might concentrate my energy on my sprite work rather than taking art classes that take up a decent amount of my time and effort. I honestly love making pixel art and I intend on honing my craft.
I'm also probably going to change my alias due to this shift in concentration

Learning the basics of art is still necessary to make good pixel art tho. I support you making pixel art and taking an art class will make your stuff even better imo. Glad you found another passion tho!!
